WELCOME!

I’m happy to see you here at my instructional design portfolio! I am a writer, researcher, educator, and designer committed to aligning meaningful learning experiences with purposeful, inclusive, and theoretically grounded design. With a professional trajectory rooted in English education, science writing, and assessment leadership, I approach instructional design as both a creative craft and a structured practice grounded in research, collaboration, and equitable access.

This portfolio showcases my current and past work in instructional design, assessment development, curriculum alignment, and learning theory. My experience includes academic and continuing education settings, statewide assessment programs, and federally funded research initiatives. Across each role—whether as a Principal Assessment Designer, instructional researcher, or university instructor—I have remained guided by the same core principles: learning should be inclusive, instruction should be meaningful, and design should be intentional.

As I finish a Master of Science in Instructional Design and Technology at the University of Tennessee, I hope this portfolio displays my expertise in learning science, human-centered design, and digital critical pedagogy. My academic goal is to synthesize cutting-edge theory with practical tools to create assessments and learning environments that are not only aligned to professional standards* but also relevant, responsive, and transformational. Professionally, I aim to continue designing learning and assessment experiences that bridge the gap between content and cognition, supporting equitable and evidence-based educational solutions.
